This phone, for the time that I bought it, was the "crème de La crème". The performance, resolution, speed, and FPS for gaming all met expectations. If it wasn't for newer phones being on the market, and my flashlight stopped working correctly after last update, I'd still be using it. I'd suggest OnePlus 12 if you are looking for modern date equivalent.
The price for what you get is right on point for an Oneplus phone; Superb specs for a fraction of most leading brands.
Battery life gets you through most the day with later use. Should last full days new.
Camera was okay, better out there. Not my area of expertise.
The bad: camera quality
The good: literally everything else. Stands the rest of time. Purchased in '21, still relevant in '25. Paid ~$400 for it. New phones these days don't have all the bells and whistles the 9 has for even twice the price.
The downside is after 4 years, the battery has trouble making it through a full day. Even the brand new 13R doesn't have wireless charging. This one does. I'll be sad when the 9 finally needs to retire. There isn't a modern phone that packs in everything the 9 offered at a fair price.
Used this device and found signal reception is ok, build is weak and no OIS make this phone overpriced for me.
at this price many phone comes with OIS and stability, also heating issue is different level, poor thermal management.
Else for daily usage this phone is good.
Negative is overpriced
heating
camera hype is there. (hasselblad)
