The Motorola DROID RAZR HD and the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HDboth have had Android 4.1 since late last year. Now, both models are being updated to Android 4.1.2 with build 9.16.6. The download is 96MB in size and adds additional security to the phones thanks to Google security patches. In addition, a data roaming fix is added to the pair as part of the update. Wi-Fi connectivity is improved and when you are selecting home screen icons, wallpaper options are displayed.

With the bad reputation Motorola's cameras have earned, owners of the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD will be happy to hear about the improvements to the camera that are part of the update, in areas including touch-to-focus, low-light performance and notifications. Improvements to video streaming pixilation have been made while media sync stability has been improved. The update will take 8 to 10 minutes to download and an additional 8 to 10 minutes to install.
